An Afternoon on the Seine with Dior

My experience aboard the Dior Spa Cruise in Paris. There are certain experiences from traveling that I know I'll remember forever, and the Dior Spa Cruise in Paris is one of them.

I was in Paris over Bastille Day when I had the opportunity to experience Dior's limited-edition spa cruise along the Seine. A Dior spa treatment would have been special enough on its own, but experiencing it aboard a boat in the middle of Paris made the entire afternoon feel almost surreal.

From the moment I stepped aboard, every detail felt unmistakably Dior: elegant, thoughtful, and incredibly beautiful without feeling overdone.

The Dior Spa Cruise

The experience started with a custom drink served in an iconic Dior shot glass before my 60-minute massage. And this might have been my favorite part of the entire experience.

Being able to completely slow down in the middle of a trip to Paris felt like such a luxury. Traveling can be incredible, but I think we sometimes put so much pressure on ourselves to see everything that we forget to actually enjoy where we are. For an hour, there was nowhere else I needed to be.

An Afternoon on the Seine

After my massage, I went up to the open-air deck, where they had fresh fruit and a green smoothie waiting for me. And then there was the view.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. We were on the Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the distance, the afternoon sun was out, and I remember having one of those moments where you consciously think, I need to remember this. No rushing to the next reservation. No checking something off an itinerary.

Just Paris.

And Then, Bastille Day

Somehow, the afternoon became even more memorable. Because I was there over Bastille Day, I was able to watch a flyover across the Paris sky from the boat.

It wasn't something I could have planned or recreated, which I think is part of why I remember it so clearly.

The massage, the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and then watching the planes overhead all came together into one of those rare travel moments where you realize how lucky you are to be exactly where you are.

What I Took Away From the Experience

Obviously, a Dior spa cruise through Paris is not everyday life. That's part of what made it so special. But what stayed with me wasn't only the Dior of it all. It was how different the afternoon felt because I actually slowed down enough to experience it.

I've spent a lot of my life traveling for modeling and work, and it's surprisingly easy to visit an incredible city without really being there. You go from the airport to the hotel, to work, to dinner, back to the hotel, and suddenly you're leaving.

This afternoon was the opposite. It reminded me that sometimes the best thing you can add to an itinerary isn't another place to see. It's an experience that gives you permission to stop.

Would I Do It Again?

In a heartbeat. Dior has created different wellness and spa experiences over the years, and after experiencing this one, they're absolutely something I'll keep an eye out for when I'm traveling. I also think this is one of the reasons I've become much more interested in spending money on memorable experiences when I travel rather than trying to do absolutely everything. I'll probably forget plenty of dinners I've eaten and things I've bought over the years.

But sitting on a boat along the Seine after a massage, eating fresh fruit with the Eiffel Tower in the distance while Paris prepared to celebrate Bastille Day? I don't think I'll forget that one. Some experiences really are worth remembering.
